Pete Anderson was named to the position of State Forester/Firewarden in 2003. Prior to being appointed he served the Nevada Division of Forestry for three years as Deputy State Forester. Anderson has an extensive background in conservation, natural resources and forestry. In addition to private sector positions, he has also worked for the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection and the National Park Service in both Utah and Alaska. He received his degree in Renewable Natural Resources and Wildland Outdoor Recreation from the University of Nevada, Reno. |
