The Reno Gazette-Journal story “Prison camp walk away in Carson City may be headed to Reno area,” published August 5, 2009 contained an error about an inmate that walked away from a work site. It said that the inmate was “assigned to a Nevada Division of Forestry crew.” This is incorrect. The inmate was a trustee and was not assigned to an NDF work crew. We have made attempts to correct this information on both Twitter and on the RGJ’s Web site.

From the Reno Gazette-Journal:

Kristuffer M. Richmond, 35, was last seen at Governor’s Field in Carson City at 11:45 a.m…. His prison-issued blue clothing was found dumped at the site and Richmond is believed to be wearing street clothes. They believe he may be headed to the Reno area, including possibly Tasker Way in Sparks.

Richmond is described as white, about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, 146 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair with tribal design tattoos on his left arm, SDM on his left chest, a 1-inch scar on his lower face and a 5-inch stab scar on his left arm.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call local law enforcement.
